![]() There's no noticeable lag for Expose at 1920 by 1080 resolution - I'll be testing it at 2560 by 1440 resolution. Overall responsiveness is similar to the Mac Pro. If you have any areas you want me to look into, post your comments below. ![]() ![]() So far, with the few short hours I have with it, I'm impressed and amazed at the performance, especially when compared to the old Mac Pro (2006) Quad 3Ghz that I'm still using at home. If you're more adventurous, you can also upgrade the hard drive yourself, which would involve disassembling the whole unit. It's great the the RAM is user upgradeable. They aren't as fast as what the specifications suggest though. USB3 ports are finally added, and the Mac Mini is the first of the Apple computers to get it. The unit is so small, just larger than a few DVD cases stacked together. Software I'll be using are Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, Lightroom, iMovie and Final Cut Pro. I work in the art room of a newspaper so I'm going to be very critical at how it performs. I'll also examine how capable the integrated graphics card is at driving a 2560 x 1440 monitor (I'm using a Dell U2711. I'll be working the Mac Mini with huge graphic files, hundreds of RAW photos and 1080P video encoding. I'll review it in the next few days, specifically looking at how good it is for art, graphic design, photo editing and video editing.
